There was an organization/cult/esoteric school/fraternity at the end of the 19th century which was named The Brotherhood of Light. They followed the Hermetic / Rosicrucian tradition and were brothers and sisters (metaphorically speaking) seeking for the truth.

C.C. Zain was one its prolific members and later established its own ‘initiatic order’ called the Church of Light, based on the principles of The Brotherhood of Light. (You can search more for yourself on the internet, they still exist and are very open to the public).
